Peg Dietrich Director’s Awards - Each director of the current season is asked to recognize someone involved in the show that went Above and Beyond to help bring the show together. Typically this recognition is bestowed upon a crew member or another theatre member who stepped in to help in some capacity that they were not initially assigned to fulfill. The awards are named in loving memory of TCT member Peg Dietrich, who was instrumental in establishing the tradition at Troy. Peg was the heart and soul of the Barnstormer Awards in previous years. She strived to get all members - both new and old - more involved in the theatre, and believed everyone should have a chance to be celebrated.

DayTony Awards - A collaboration of Dayton area community theatres (including TCT, Dayton Theatre Guild, Beavercreek Community Theatre, Innova Theatre, Dayton Playhouse, and Springboro Community Theatre), the DayTony awards are presented at a banquet every summer. The awards are determined by the votes and comments of adjudicators from both member theatres and at-large adjudicators. Each show submitted by a member theatre is watched and adjudicated by 5 persons from outside that theatre, and a committee led by an independent statistician reviews the combined scores to determine the awards given.

At their regional, each member theatre has an opportunity to present a 35-40 minute excerpt from a show presented during their most recent season, The excerpts are adjudicated by three OCTA-trained adjudicators, and awards are presented at the end of the conference. From the regional, anywhere from 1-4 excerpts (determined by the total number of participating excerpts) are invited to present their same excerpt at the State Conference. TCT is a proud member of the OCTA West region, and has been active in the regional and state levels for many years: Previous invitees to the State Conference have included: Angel Street, Escanaba in Da Moonlight, The Tin Woman, and Neil Simon’s Barefoot In The Park.
